Coronavirus Response

This section contains information related to our response to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic,
including safe workplace risk assessments, news and updates.

The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic is an unprecedented event, presenting challenges businesses have never seen before. We are all learning how best to deal with the situation and begin to get life back to normal. As employers we have a duty to reduce workplace risk to the lowest reasonably practicable level by taking preventative measures recommended by the UK Government. You can download a copy of the risk assessment using the button to the right.

Preventative Measures

  • Social distancing must be adhered to wherever possible. This means all employees should remain a minimum of 2 metres apart from each other. Where this is not possible, the distance between each person must be kept to the maximum possible for the task to be performed safely.
  • Face masks to be worn at all times except for meals and other breaks. We have made face masks available upon entry to the building. Used face masks are to be disposed of in marked bins provided and this bin changed daily.
  • Encouraging frequent hand washing for at least 20 seconds.
  • We have implemented a strict one-way system around the building in canteens, toilets, offices and corridors to avoid people passing each other. This will limit contact between employees, reducing the risk of close contact.
  • Anyone displaying any symptoms must directly report their supervisor/manager immediately.
  • Canteen tables and surfaces are to be cleaned after every use. Cleaning solution and paper towels have been supplied on every table and surface for easy access.
  • Communal tools and equipment are to be cleaned after every use.
  • We have set up cleaning stations around the building so that regular and continuous cleaning can be carried out.
  • All employees have been issued with their own personal bottle of hand sanitiser to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
  • We have installed Perspex barriers between each desk in offices to separate each employee and reduce contact with neighbouring desk.
  • We have installed a contactless thermometer at the entrance to the building. All employees must take their temperature upon entering the building. If their temperature is higher than 37.8°, they must return to their cars and wait for their supervisor to re-take their temperature. If their temperature is still too high, we will arrange for them to self-isolate away from site and attend a testing facility.
