With more than forty years’ experience in manufacturing custom-made steel door solutions we pride ourselves on being one of the UK’s leading supplier, offering high quality products at competitive prices.

Working across the industrial and commercial sectors – our extensive product range, including our tailor made doors , are designed and manufactured on-site at our specialist factory in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. With a team of 150 staff – we manufacture 25,000 door sets every year.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that our products are fully certified. Our research and development team regularly send our doors for testing with independent bodies to gain certification giving our customers complete peace of mind.

And at Robust we want to make life easy, as well as our high levels of customer service we also ensure our doors are delivered direct to site, fully assembled with all hardware fitted, ready for quick installation.

More About Our Factory

As part of a huge £2m expansion, back in 2018 our Stoke-on-Trent factory was fitted with a new powder coat line, CNC punch press and panel folder. This allowed us to relocate the semi-automated production line from our facilities in Sweden, to the UK. It significantly increased our production capacity and eliminated shipping times from Sweden. It’s also meant we can manufacture doors much quicker, whilst of course maintaining the same level of quality.

Since then the company has continued to grow and we are planning a move to bigger premises. Watch out for more news on this later in 2023.

Fully Certified Products

Third party certification gives our customers peace of mind that our products perform how we say they will. Our research and development team regularly send doors for testing with independent bodies to gain certification. We also make continual improvements to our range in line with changing regulatory demands – for example, CE Marking.

We are members of several well-respected organisations that certify or accredit our products. These include Secured by Design (the official Police Initiative to ‘design out crime’), Loss Prevention Certification Board LPCB) and WarringtonFire. As well as these organisations, we are also part of the Door Hardware Federation (DHF) and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI). As part of our membership to these organisations, our manufacturing process is regularly audited. This ensures we comply with safety, quality and performance standards every time a door is made.

Customised Doors

We pride ourselves on our ability to supply tailor-made doors to meet our customers’ specific requirements. Our specialist machinery also enables us to manufacture doors in a wide range of heights and widths. Our Polyester Powder Coating facility means our doors can be finished in standard or non-standard colours and we even have the capability of finishing them in PVC wood grain or stainless steel. We also stock a wide range of door hardware, including: handles, locks, hinges, seals, panic hardware and closer. At Robust UK, we can develop customer-specific products and modify existing designs – all to fit in with individual client requirements.

Delivered – Fully Assembled

We believe in taking care of the hard part, so the customer doesn’t have to. Therefore, all our doors are delivered direct to site, fully assembled with all hardware fitted, ready for quick installation. Dispatched as complete products, we supply all our doors with adjustable jacking feet and variable sub-frames as standard to eliminate the need for packing shims and to minimise the mastic gap.

Our doors are made with Magnelis – a highly non-corrosive material. We include a number of extras as standard to make fitting our doors as simple and straightforward as possible. With every job, we include fitting kits, fixings, touch up paint and a pack of mastic. Our timber doors have all hardware fitted, are pre-hung and ready for installation.
