CAD Engineer
Responsible to: Production Manager
Main Purpose of Role
• Draw the customer order to the specification required and create required part DXFs
• Follow issued scheduled plan and identify and resolve potential issues
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, that a safety-first culture is embedded and respected
• Ensure Quality procedures are adhered to, that continuous improvement and a right first time better every time mentality is encouraged
Key Tasks
• Modify Customer orders using 2D Autocad and 3D Solidworks
• Use Tooling software to Program Punch Machines – Radan, Salvagnini
• Implement changes in CAD models to aid production
• Liaise with various departments
• Communicate and answer sales queries
• Communicating with external suppliers and customers
• Order any job specific internal parts required
• Continuous improvement of products

Key Requirements for Role
• Autocad proficiency
• Solidworks Experience – Further training will be provided
• Good written and verbal communication
• Good planning, able to remain Focused and strong organisational skills
• Ability to report back to senior management
• Able to plan and prioritise own workload
• Communicate regularly and effectively with production
• A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production
• Trumpf or similar Punch machinery programming
• Door Manufacturing
• Salvagnini Punch/ fold machine experience
