Maintenance Engineer

Main Purpose of Role:

• Maintain all plant/equipment on site
• Preventative maintenance
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, that a safety-first culture is embedded and respected
• Ensure Quality procedures are adhered to, that continuous improvement and a right first time better every time mentality is encouraged
• Ensure the team always maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment and leading by example.

Key Tasks:

• Maintain and promote a safe working environment

• Follow safety rules and regulations
• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
• Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
• Carry out inspections on plant equipment
• Diagnose breakdown problems
• Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
• Monitor and maintain high quality standards
• Ability to create and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
• Attend shift production meetings if required
• Monitor and control maintenance costs      

Key Requirements for Role:

• Good written and verbal communication
• Electrical and mechanical engineering background
• Continuous learning and development
• Knowledge and use of handheld power tools
• Reading and understanding technical 2D drawings
• Attention to detail
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities
• Over the set timescales showing progression through Training Matrix requirements
