LPS 1175 CERTIFIED STEEL SECURITY DOORS

At Robust, we understand how important security is.

TUFF-DOR is a fully certified to LPS 1175 security doorset, designed to offer an enhanced level of security for a wide range of premises, from domestic or light commercial premises through to those at risk of attack by experienced intruders.

We design, manufacture and install TUFF-DORs in a range of industries and environments including Government and defence buildings, airports, emergency service premises, financial services and high value retail outlets. 

The doors are specially constructed to individual project requirements and each door has internal reinforcement designed to resist sustained attack from a range of tools. TUFF DOR is approved by Secured by Design.

They come with a range of locking options as well as finishes. To suit your specific needs, they are available primed or polyester powder coated in a wide range of colours.

We offer three versions of TUFF-DOR, each providing increased security:

TUFF-DOR logo

The TUFF-DOR 2.1, has recently been redesigned using new innovative materials that are far lighter but retain the same strength as the original TUFF-DOR 2 specification. This ensures the door is much easier to install and operate, while retaining the same robustness. 

Design updates include:
  • Folded in flush astragal for added security with a tidy look.
  • Redeveloped to incorporate innovative materials that maintain strength whilst reducing weight by up to 30%, making the door easier to install and operate.
  • Adjustable fixing feet and variable sub-frames supplied as standard, making TUFF-DOR 2.1 much easier to install.
  • MICO Modula mortice locking compatibility, allowing greater locking flexibility and aesthetic appeal with a sleek surface finish.
  • More internal reinforcement in strategic locations on the door, enhancing attack resistance and door strength.
Locking options
  • TUFF-DOR 2.1 is fitted with the versatile MICO Modula Range of high security stainless steel mortice locks.
  • The MICO Modula Range is a single point locking device, specifically designed to offer a highly secure and cost-effective locking solution for the modern environment.
    Tested to LPS 1175 A1 (SR1) & B3 (SR2), the MICO Modula range provides enhanced levels of security protection against intruders with a comprehensive choice of lock functions, including safe and effective single-handed means of escape should an emergency event arise. 
  • There are four primary locking systems available, each with internal & external hardware options.
Finish

Doorsets are available primed or polyester powder coated in a wide range of colours and finishes. Bespoke options include Extra Life paint offering up to ten years’ anti-rust warranty underwritten by Cromadex Akzo Nobel.

The range provides a comprehensive series of doorsets, certified by the LPCB to LPS 1175.

The TUFF-DOR 3.1 has been developed to withstand deliberate attempts at forced entry on well protected premises with little regard for noise, using physical force and an array of tools, including cordless tools, a short axe, cold chisels, a crow-bar, brick bolsters and a gas torch.

The TUFF-DOR 3.1 has also achieved the Secured by Design Police Preferred Specification status, which is restricted to products that have been suitably tested and certified. 

The range is suitable for a range of industries including airports, government and defence buildings, factories and warehouses, emergency service buildings, utilities sector, financial services, high value retail outlets and infrastructure projects.

General Construction
  • 66mm door leaf construction, manufactured from 1.5mm THK Zintec steel, stainless steel or Magnelis.
  • 110mm single rebate frame, manufactured from 2.0mm THK Zintec steel, stainless steel or Magnelis.
  • 6no.hinges c/w 9no. heavy duty steel dog bolts to each leaf.
  • Heavy duty tower bolts fitted to passive leaf on double doors.
Locking options

We have a range of locking options available including panic escape, manual, automatic and electromechanical deadlocking solutions, with a selection of external access options.

  • MICO Abryll single point locking.
  • MICO 942 2-point locking.
  • MICO 942 3-point locking.
  • MICO 942 4-point locking.
Finish

Doorsets are available primed or polyester powder coated in a wide range of colours and finishes. Bespoke options include high quality woodgrain and textured effects, as well as Extra Life paint, offering up to ten years’ anti-rust warranty underwritten by Cromadex Akzo Nobel.

LPCB Certified to LPS 1175: Issue 7 Security Rating 4 (certificate number 312e) the TUFF DOR 4.1 has been designed for premises requiring high security.

To achieve certification, the TUFF DOR 4.1 were subjected to an attack test, simulating experienced attempts of forced entry. Tools used in the SR4 testing included a disc grinder, felling axe, hole saw, jigsaw, sledgehammer and plate shears.

The TUFF DOR 4.1 range are suitable for Government and defence buildings, factories and warehouses, emergency service buildings, utilities sector, financial services, high value retails outlets and infrastructure projects.

The wide choice of available hardware and options means they can be tailored to individual customer requirements. 

General Construction
  • 66mm door leaf construction, manufactured from 1.5mm THK Zintec steel.
  • 110mm single rebate frame, manufactured from 2.0mm THK Zintec steel.
  • 6no. hinges, c/w 9no. heavy duty steel hooked dog bolts to each leaf.
Locking Options
  • MICO Abryll panic escape, manual, automatic and electromechanical deadlock single point locking.
  • Double panic bar variant also available (panic bars fitted to both leaves of double doorsets).
  • External access via MICO USCH cylinder guard with Scandinavian oval cylinders, as standard (available also to suit round or rim cylinders).
  • Passive leaf fitted with heavy duty tower bolts, as standard or secondary multipoint lock. (tower bolts extended to a reachable eight on larger doorsets).
  • single point locks, with a range of external access options available. Heavy duty tower bolts fitted to passive leaf on double doorsets.
Finish

Vision Panels, Louvres and Grills

Vision Panels

TUFF-DOR doorsets can be fitted with a limited range of vision panels in tested configurations. To comply with Part M of the Building Regulations 2004, doors across circulation routes should have visibility glazing.

Louvres & Grills

TUFF-DOR doorsets can also be fitted with a limited range of louvre panels and grills in tested configurations. All louvre and grill options can be used with double doorsets.
