TUFF-DOR is a fully certified LPS 1175 security doorset designed to offer an enhanced level of security for a wide range of premises, from domestic or light commercial premises through to those at high risk of attack by experienced intruders.
TUFF-DOR: A STRONG, SECURE & DURABLE LPS 1175 CERTIFIED DOORSET
TUFF-DOR LPS 1175 certified security doors are designed to offer an enhanced level of security for premises requiring a higher level of protection than that offered by a basic steel hinged doorset. The doors are specially constructed to individual project requirements and each door has internal reinforcement designed to resist sustained attack from a wide range of tools.
With a broad range of high end hardware systems on offer, our doors are available in both single and double configurations up to 2500mm x 2600mm*. Our TUFF-DOR doors are available as locking or escape versions and a limited range of vision panel options are also available.

We offer three versions of TUFF-DOR, each providing increased security:
Tested to LPS 1175 SR2
Provides up to 3 minutes of resistance to opportunist attempts at forced entry of protected premises using a range of mechanical tools, including: screwdriver, levers, spanner, bolt cutters, claw hammer, drill, shears, etc.
Tested to LPS 1175 SR3
Provides up to 5 minutes of resistance to determined attempts at forced entry of protected premises using a wide range of tools, including: cordless tools, short axe, cold chisels, crow bar, brick bolsters, gas torch, etc.
Tested to LPS 1175 SR4
Provides up to 10 minutes of resistance to experienced attempts at forced entry using a wide range of tools, including: high powered cordless tools, felling axe, sledgehammer, power drill, disc grinder, jigsaw, etc.
THE LPS 1175 STANDARD
Doorsets certified to LPS 1175 (Loss Certification Protection Board: Loss Prevention Standard) are designed to provide increased security against attempted forced entry over standard doors in applications ranging from domestic apartments through to high value storage areas. These doors can be fitted with a wide variety of hardware including panic bars and locking boxes.
The differing security ratings provide protection from attack over periods from 1 minute up to 20 minutes of sustained attack. The choice is determined by the anticipated level of attack, whether from determined opportunist attempts using hand tools through to professional attempts at forced entry, regardless of noise, using heavy hand and power tools or explosives.
In order to obtain LPS 1175 certification, products must undertake a series of manual intervention attack tests using tools from the tool category appropriate to the product’s anticipated security rating. All aspects of the product (hardware, glazing, infill, etc.) are treated as an integral part of the product and are attack tested accordingly. All aspects of the product must therefore provide the minimum resistance to attack defined for the anticipated security rating.
Our TUFF-DOR2 is tested to LPS 1175 SR2 standard and has successfully defeated attack by assailants with a range of mechanical tools available to potential attackers. This level is commonly used for domestic properties and light commercial security.
Our TUFF-DOR3 is tested to LPS 1175 SR3 and has successfully defended attack by assailants with a range of hand and cordless power tools. This standard is suitable for commercial premises or locations where the chance of attack is enhanced and likely to be more sustained.
Our TUFF-DOR4 is tested to LPS 1175 SR4 and has successfully defended attack by assailants with a range of power tools. This level is suitable for commercial premises or locations at high risk of attack by experienced intruders.
ROBUST TUFF-VENT IS A STRONG, SECURE & DURABLE FULLY LOUVRED DOORSET
To complement our range of LPS 1175 doors, we also manufacture a security louvred door. Certified to PAS 24 and approved by Secured by Design, TUFF-VENT offers the maximum free airflow whilst maintaining strength and security. A standard 2mm galvanised steel louvre vane is used throughout, welded at every junction for additional strength. Side panels and overpanels can also be manufactured to make up large openings where large doors may be impractical.
When calculated on a 1000mm x 2100mm over frame door, the Robust TUFF-VENT achieves a free area of 55% (based on the area of the louvres only, this equates to 72%). TUFF-VENT doors are fully CE compliant and can be polyester powder coated in a standard range of colours.
*Please note our TUFF-VENT doors tested to PAS 24, but are not available certified to LPS1175.
