We understand that agricultural buildings have a range of demands dependent on their purpose, and that’s why the versatile Robust product range hits the mark every time. Ensuring that assets and property are safe and secure is a growing concern for farmers, with the combination of expensive machinery and rural locations creating ideal opportunities for unwanted intruders.

We’ve Got it Covered.
At Robust UK we’re committed to protecting people and property, and our carefully developed range of steel door solutions help to minimise risk and provide peace of mind in a variety of agricultural applications, including:
- Barns
- Storage facilities, warehouses & storage units
- Machinery sheds
- Livestock buildings
- Other farm buildings
Our durable doors are secure, resistant to the elements and require minimal maintenance. Available with manual or electronic access control depending on your access and security requirements, our custom-built doors will protect all assets, people and property for long term peace of mind.

Security
For buildings requiring enhanced security measures, such as tool sheds and chemical storage areas, we have a number of options.
- TUFF-DOR – our LPS 1175 fully certified doorset range – offers products certified to SR2, SR3 or SR4, whilst SECUR-DOR 2.1 is certified to PAS 24. Both products provide high-level security against break-ins, tampering, vandalism and unauthorised access, and are Secured by Design accredited.
For buildings that require both ventilation and security, our PAS 24 certified TUFF-VENT is the perfect solution. Available in single and double doorsets, this fully louvred product combines maximum airflow with maximum strength, with full length vertical stiffeners to prevent the louvre blades from being pulled or prised apart.
Fire Risk
Our broad selection of fire rated doors are ideal for buildings where fire safety is a concern, such as workshops, chemical storage areas, and processing facilities. With up to 4 hours fire resistance available on both our INNA-DOR and OUTA-DOR ranges, a fire can be contained for a significant length of time; particularly important in remote buildings where a fire may not be identified for a good length of time due to the lack of passers by.
We understand that some environments require both fire and security measures, and for this reason we’re able to offer both TUFF-DOR 2.1 and SECUR-DOR 2.1 with a 60 minute fire rating on request (certain specifications only).
Reducing the spread of fire minimises the damage to surrounding buildings, equipment, animals and land, minimising not only expense but also disruption to operations. With the threat of both accidental fires and arson being an ongoing concern in agricultural environments, taking preventative measures is critical.

Climate Control
OUTA-DOR THERM steel doors improve energy efficiency by maintaining internal temperatures through minimal thermal transference. This helps to reduce heating and cooling costs in areas where temperature regulation is crucial, such as climate-controlled storage buildings, warehousing, and workshops. THERM can achieve a U-value as low as 1.3W/(m²K), or 1.5W/(m²K) if combining it with 60 minutes fire resistance.
Part L of the UK Building Regulations states that all external non-domestic doors must have a minimum U value of 1.6W/(m²K) – (1.4W/(m²K) in Scotland) – which OUTA-DOR THERM exceeds across both single and double doorsets.
Ventilation
We offer two fully louvred door solutions; VENT-DOR aluminium doorsets for effective ventilation in standard applications, and TUFF-VENT for areas that require increased security. Both can be manufactured with a variety of meshes to prevent birds, insects and other pests from entering the building through the louvres, ideal for protecting feed or harvests whilst preventing moisture build up, maintaining air quality and providing optimum storage conditions.

Large Openings
We understand that agricultural buildings come in all shapes and sizes, and may be subject to “non-standard” sizings. As such, we can manufacture side and over panels to facilitate the use of a hinged doorset in a larger space, and the panels themselves can be hinged or removable to ensure the full opening space is still accessible on occasion when needed, such as moving large machinery in or out of the building.
Where more cumbersome roller shutters or sliding doors are in use, a smaller personnel or fire exit door can be useful for efficiency purposes; to aid the movement of people in and out of the building on a daily basis, and particularly in case of an emergency.
Finishes
Many of our steel door solutions are manufactured from Magnelis® for unrivalled anti-corrosion resistance – this is supported by our anti-corrosion warranties of up to 10 years.
Our doorsets are polyester powder coated in the colour of your choice from our standard range of over 50 colours; alternatively, we can supply a PPC finish in any non-standard RAL or BS colour to meet your specification.
A timber effect finish is also available on request.

Stainless Steel
We can also manufacture stainless steel doorsets, offering high resistance to corrosion so ideal for areas exposed to moisture, chemicals, and other corrosive elements.
Common uses include dairy farms, food processing areas, and buildings with harsh environmental conditions.
Custom Built To Order
We understand that no two customers are the same, and that’s why Robust doors are always manufactured to order; ensuring the client receives the exact solution they need, with no on-site modification needed.
